stages.Hyperthyroidism that is not treated will lead to high cholesterol and heart

conditions.Hypothyroidism is important because the thyroid gland controls the body’s

metabolism and energy use. Hypothyroidism affects mostly women who are over the age of 60.




Causes:

The thyroid gland makes thyroxine and triiodothyronine,which are hormones that affect every

cell in the body.They assist the proportion at which the body uses carbohydrates and fats.They

help control body temperature and has an effect on the heart rate.Hypothyroidism occurs

when the thyroid gland doesn't make enough of the usual hormones.

Symptoms:

The symptoms of hypothyroidism varies on the intensity of the condition.Symptoms usually

starts slowly.Symptoms like fatigue and weight gain are misunderstood as signs of getting

older, when they are actually signs of hypothyroidism as well.As your metabolism continues to

slow, you may evolve more noticeable problems..Common symptoms include:
